Dan Gross to Michelle Malkin: Don’t hurt me

Yesterday Dan Gross noted that, well, Margaret Cho called Michelle Malkin a racist. (She also said that Malkin was one of the few minorities who’s a racist.) “Woah!” we said. “Welcome to two people we don’t care about arguing!” Gross also said Malkin’s syndicated column was run by the Daily News, and we noted that, well, the paper dropped her.

Well apparently Gross’ reporting of Cho’s calling her a racist was just another instance of liberal media bias. Malkin tore him a new one on her site, then did the always professional and journalistic thing of telling her readers to harass Gross until he printed a wimpy apology today. We don’t really get it: Michelle Malkin has “racist” tattooed on her forehead (see photo, left). Why did he need to confirm it with her first?

Anyway, Gross’ apology today:

It also wouldn’t have hurt to provide some of Cho’s examples for why Malkin is racist. Upon further inspection of Cho’s book, turns out she doesn’t cite any.

“I would have preferred a chance to respond before you blared the accusation in a headline,” Malkin wrote us yesterday.

“I have come to expect such treatment from political opponents. I have now lowered my expectations of fellow journalists,” she said.

Malkin’s parting shot, on her blog:

Maybe if I had been more of sycophantic stenographer to liberal celebrities, I’d still be carried by the People’s Paper. Oh, well.

Or maybe if you had gotten the fucking nickname of the paper right.
